A Scalable, Skilled Work Force

A young, skilled, 3.8 million strong work force in Bogota ensures the scalability of any operation. The city’s 114 institutions of higher education enroll over 452,000 students and graduate 67,000 professionals and technicians per year. In addition, Colombia has one of the most flexible labor regimes in Latin America.

The city has 436,000 unemployed people (11.3% of total workforce in 2008), 33% of which have higher education degrees. These unemployed people are a readily available pool of employees.

A Flexible Work Regime

According to the World Bank’s 2010 Doing Business survey, Colombia, along with Chile, has the most flexible work regime in Latin America.
