Invest in Bogota will Participate in the India Leadership Forum 2011

The Colombian Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism recently informed through its web page that the India Leadership Forum 2001, organized by Nasscom, the most important IT guild of India, will have an important Colombian representation led by the Ministry.

Among the participants we should highlight that of Avinash Vashista, President of Tholons, the consultants that recently published “Colombia, Latin America’s hidden jewel in IT offshore outsourcing services” and of Pramod Bhasin, President of Genpact, an Indian outsourcing services firm, who will speak of his experience doing business in Colombia.

The Ministry’s web page points out that  “Colombia will be the only Spanish-speaking country with one hour time to expose before representatives of the IT Industry in India. The main engine for the growth of India’s economy has been  the huge development of these companies, which today are world-wide reference.

Other members of the Colombian delegation are Juan Alfredo Pinto, Colombian Ambassador in India; Juan Carlos González, Proexport’s Foreign Investment VicePresident; Adriana Suárez, Executive Director of Invest in Bogota; Tatyana Orozco, Director of Probarranquilla, and important representatives of the private sector.

The Colombian delegation will make most of their trip to India by also visiting some IT companies in New Delhi and Bangalore that have shown interest in setting up business in Colombia.
